Hi. Just after some advice, I’ve got a e46 and the traction control light along with the handbrake light is on, I was initially told it was the abs rings but I’ve have them changed and still the lights are stuck on! Anyone had the same problem and found a fix for it?
Probably best to use a car scanner or INPA to see the codes and correctly diagnose what is wrong.
But from experience it could either be the Wheel speed sensor or YAW sensor (Under passenger seat). I had to replace the latter but this is a very rare component to fail. I would venture to guess it is the wheel speed sensor going dead before it was the YAW sensor.
If the steering wheel is not in the straight position when driving in a straight line, it will trigger those lights and the fault code will show as steering angle sensor calibration, assuming the wheel speed sensors are all working.
Best is to scan the car for codes and see what comes up.

My front left ABS sensor wiring was faulty, due to mileage and amount of times the wheels had turned left and right, wear and tear, new sensor from Goldwagen, problem solved.
