I convinced another friend of mine to join the dark side and so he asked me to find him a clean 328i, so I did.:bravo:
I found it on gumtree on tuesday morning an hour after the guy posted it, went to go see it 30min later, liked it and paid a deposit to keep the car for us, the balance was paid into his account today and I collected the car for Zach. The seller was asking 40k but I offered 35k which he agreed to and he threw in the original wheels with the deal.:thumbs:
Its a 1998 328i autotragic with 276000km on the clock with traction control and cruise control. The bodywork is clean except for the clearcoat on the boot spoiler that is pealing, also the left side has a M3 sideskirt instead of the smooth sideskirt its supposed to have, I sourced a left smooth sideskirt already for the car so I need to fit it. It also has a hideous towbar which has to go and the rear bumper diffuser is missing, I have one of those too. Interior is still in good condition besides a small tear in the driver seat, the door panels have the padded elbow inserts, a nice touch. So far the only problem is a dodgy driver's window mechanism and a small oil leak from the engine. Plans are for M3 front and rear bumpers with a drop and BBS RS wheels. On the mechanical side the head and rings were replaced after the thermostat housing broke and overheated the car some months back. A manual conversion will take place in a few months time along with a limited slip diff swap but for now I will just give it a good service and clean up. I started by removing the rear number plate holder and debadged her, oh and did the golf tee mod...:thumbs:

now to find the LS unit hahaha. going to be so weird driving a car again. 5 years of crotch rocket and no drifting since the SX. wow this is going to be fun.
