Good Day my esteemed Fanatics!
A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to spend a day working on Zabbo's beautiful BMW 328i.
We originally booked the car in for a day to perform an Enhancement Detail as well as do some spot repairs and dent removal.
This involved inviting our Dent Magic Team with Shafiek respraying the left front fender and Dirk, our dent popper removing a few dents on the car. The team spent quite a lot of time on the car to make sure everything was perfect before handing the keys over to me to perfect the finish.
I arrived early to get started and gave the BMW a thorough clean foaming the paintwork with Maxi Suds and cleaning the mag wheels with various brushes.
The paintwork was then inspected for paint defects; here is a quick shot of the swirling on the bonnet.
I opted to correct using a Firm Flexi Pad and two passes of Megs #85 giving the bonnet a light spray of water throughout to keep the pad moist and to aid with lubricity.
After one pass correction was immediately noticed:
Most cars appreciate a good buff, but not our Barney who decided to ignite some passion with my faithful polisher by causing it to explode in a blaze of glory which according to everyone at Dent Magic who stopped to see what happened sounded similar to a spitfire catching alight.
I left the scene quickly, arriving a short while later with a new Khaki Green Polisher!
With the entire car polished, I decided to test out a new and highly recommended product called Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze. This product not only applies and removes effortlessly but also smells fantastic. I applied the EZ Creme using a red finishing pad and buffing off once hazed. The results were astonishing!
With time running out I finished off with all the little details and pulled the car out for the lucky owner to stare at and enjoy.
Besides my polisher exploding, I thoroughly enjoyed working on the E36 and thought the level of gloss and richness in colour on the finished car was simply outstanding.
What do you think? :joy:
