Z4M key fob not working

So both my keys stopped working at once. Both fobs refused to work.

My car battery then went flat and after jumping the car it was in permanent limp mode. I then told the battery out for 10 minutes and the limp mode is gone and car is perfect. Even the remotes are now both working. Well were working, a day after the remotes stopped working again.

Any ideas what to look for?

Sounds like the battery has said howzit. Otherwise it is discharging for some reason.

I have done this..

This is how I use to get the keys to work if the battery in the car had gone flat.

Worked fine for 30 min.. Then completely stops working.

If I powercycle the car, I was able to read it in again..

Trying this now since I put on a new battery (don't have battery issues anymore now with car going flat) but not getting anywhere.

I noticed some times it seems like the pins on the door (lock pins) were a little sticky.. As in the Actuators were struggling.

My theory is that the actuators aren't working well and its causing the car to disable the module in its on as a preventative measure.. Is that a possibility? Until now power cycling the car would usually get the keys to work or work after we reading remotes..

Is there anywhere that I can test if my key fob is transmitting? Like measure the transmitter strength..... Maybe the battery on it is dead?

I know it suppose to charge itself but they do die eventually....
