Z4M Dropped - Review

Hi All

After much research I settled for the Eibach set of springs. The aim was to drop the car slightly and still maintain good day to day drive-ability. First choice was KW coilovers but since I do not use the car on the track and the crazy price, I decided against it.

Issue before springs:
- not stable at high speed uneven corners
- ride quality too harsh

Results after springs:
- back stays planted on the same uneven corners tested before springs
- ride is softer
- car feels more precise
- acceleration feels more sudden and stable, the car does not fish tail as much
- car looks hotter!
- car now promotes confidence

I hope this post helps those in the market

Looking really really awesome!

I put the KW clubsport coilovers on my car to lower it by +- 20mm. I have to agree on all your after results. It's really surprising what difference these springs can make.

Oh, enjoy your beast :joy:

i don't know the final price as my wife got them for me, she was sick of me researching springs the whole day long so got them as a present for our anni. :joy:

check with eibach sa on price, last time i checked there are no more left in sa so it will be a special request. I did springs only.

The problem with lowering a Z4M with a combination of lower profile tyres (if u change to 19's) is that it only performs very well on a good level/even road. When you travel on a slightly bumpy road it loses traction badly and cuts your power off. Rather keep the stock 18inch wheels. As an all round car the stock suspension is better but it does sit a bit high, for track I would put on a set of springs. But it becomes a bit unsafe on the street with a stiffer suspension combined with 19" lower profile tyres.

If this is your opinion then I disagree based on my own experience, as I own the vehicle.

Cool buddy, I see you fitted Eibach I had H&R on, btw nobody said that you didn't own the car. The car handles better thats for sure mayb cos I had 19's on mine it was not as glued to the road as I wanted it to be on all surfaces.

:fencelook: my car loses traction on bumpy roads with stock everything now, I dont see how it could be any worse.
