Yes that’s right, I was lucky and they didn’t find pieces of chain guide in the sump.

After seeing the M135i on the forum that spun a rod bearing I’m wondering if it’s maybe a good idea to do mine as preventative? My car has had the 20k km oil changes when I was on motorplan but since then I have been changing oil every 5000km. And always warmed up, driven slowly for 10mins and only ever driven hard when oil temps are up.

Have you asked Midrand Bmw for a quote? i would like to think, they would be the cheapest
