Z4 M - Roadster

Hey there,

I am thinking of getting a Z4 M Roadster. Probably a 2006 model...

Any comments on what to look out for? Any major known issues with these?

Moving up from a Z3 3.0i... and sick of the rattles and creaks! Just hope the Z4 really has a much better interior as most people seem to think!

Thanks!

Get a manual. Simple = better
Great car and even better engine. Make sure has not been involved in accident and has fsh with BMW.

Good luck

Thanks guys.

Yes, the Z3 interior leaves a LOT to be desired! It is totally old school stuff! But otherwise a good classic, and a good drive (if you can put up with the rattles)! :)

P

I think that the Z3 was based on the e36 platform, and judging from that, it was bound to have rattles for days, lol.

@Jason. The Z4 M only came with a manual. lol

Hi,

Silly question - but is this a Coupe or a Roadster?

Cheers,

Hey Muney,

Yes, e36 is indeed the platform. Not great! The squeaks and rattles are something else!

Hi Guys - Z4 M Roadster is also full of rattles, I test road a couple before I settled for the Coupe.
Its not as bad as the Z3 though, interior is a couple of notches up from the Z3 also.
Good luck finding one :thumb: - If I see any I will PM you.

Hey,

Four years later and still loving the Z4M!!! :inlove:

Also got a X5 xDrive 4.8i during this time and absolutely loved it too... but man, that thing drinks like xxxxx! I can just feel the money burning, even when idling. Hehe. Loved the mean sound, but sh*t, it's just not practical to burn through a R1200 tank in 350km's....

Now getting a X1 2.0D for the significant other... :)... she says the X5 is too big for her anyway... hehe

Later...

P
