Z4 headlight control unit

Hi Guys,

I have a huge issue, i cannot get a control unit or a replacement headlight for my 06 2.0l z4.

Stealers say its 25K for replacement and that the unit does not come seperate, have to buy the whole headlight.

Anyone know of a used parts dealer who has one?

It could be the same thing, its the black box in the headlight that the bulbs fit into.

there was water collecting in the headlight and and that caused it to stop working

I think that is the igniter..

Ross Duncan in Midrand said it was the control unit, as did BMW kunene bros.

how do i find out for sure?

where can i get it checked and repaired if it is the ignitor or the ballast or control unit?

"control unit" is a rather generic term. To my knowledge, the HID/Xenon system normally consists of 3 primary components that can fail: Ballast, Igniter (bulb plugs into this), and bulb.
