Z4 Convertible Wind Noise

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know of a reputable place/person in Cape Town to sort out the door seals to eliminate whistling wind noise.

It's currently not too bad, but over 160km/h and on very windy days - there is an irritating whistling noise.

The car is due for a service in 10 000km and I suspect BMW will simply tell me I need to replace the door rubbers (and charge me an arm and a leg).

Has anyone had similar experiences? or know of any alternatives to the dealership replaceing the rubbers?

Thanks in advance.

Check the latches that secure the roof to the windshield frame. They are known to crack or fail and will cause the whistling air leak. I had exactly the same issue on my Z4 and it was cured by replacing one of the latches.
