Z3 help and info

just bought a second hand Z3, 1998 2.8i model, love it, couple of things wrong with it, but all minor, some weird problems with my soft top, any ideas, sometimes woks sometimes doesn't, up or down, also looking for places to service it and pirate parts stockists, some car sound issues, some seat bearing issues. please contact me, obviously not a bmw dealer fan, find them expensive, and not much help with small issues, and expensive, just to take a look was R900, and no solution.

On the soft top, they usually have some safe guards to stop the roof folding dangerously. I have heard mention that if the trunck open/closed sensor is not making proper contact then the roof will not operate. I would imagine the central locking won't iether. Sometimes a look for loose wires, switches or bolts can solve issues.

If the seats are loose it is probably related to the seat adjustment motor bushings that break up. The BMW part is substandard and it needs to be replaced by these Whalen Parts
