Never knew being daft was a sport

No need to call guys daft. You buy an m3 expecting it to be the fastest in the 3 series range and then find yourself lined up against a x35 and you can't keep up... you're going to be upset.

I think thats a bit of an old school thought...today's M car is about having something which is at the cutting edge of technology.. CRT in the e46 CSL (roof)and further developments into the E9x range and now CF props on the new M.... This for me is what an M car is about.

A special car out of a special division of BMW..... Hell, I've never raced mine on the track , nor ran down a quarter mile but every time I started it .... New under was needed
If you get that from yours then great... But remember ,there's no replacement for displacement.

I concur. If you look at the E93, it is heavier and yet can still run with the E92's and E90's, it is a great piece of tech and ability.
