Car suddenly showed a yellow engine warning light and went into limp mode. I took it to a garage and they sw on the computer its a valvetronic internal fault. What does this mean? Is it bad?

He checked the oil and it was just above min-mark. Said I must top up the oil as this could be giving the error.

Also theres a thump noise on the front suspension when going over bumps or holes.

I got the car yesterday so they must sort out the problem, right?

OH YES, straight back from where it came from, they must fix or re-imburse

Those N46 motors do have VVT issues. Usually it's the VVT motor itself, a VVT fault in the ECU is less common.

That's the Vvt motor (under 2k to replace). The thumping noise is probably control arm Bushes (not expansive)

Car is back. They said theres nothing wrong with the front suspension. Also there was a new oil cooler on the car and they suspect that the radiator was not flushed properly. They flushed it.

They also replaced a sensor on the airbag resetting the light.

Going to take out a full warranty with IMPACT also. So in future they can just repair the car.

Vvt servo motor has been replaced. Light is off and car is running nicely. There seems to be another annoying sound...

When the car is pulling and when you take foot of petrol there is a humming noise coming from the back of the car. Sound like a diff?

When the clutch is pressed and the car coasts the sound is gone.

Any advice regarding the diff?? Must the garage fix it?
