hello awesome people..

please assist with my 2009 e90 bmw.

I replaced all my brake pads with new sensors 3 weeks ago.
I did a reset to all the warning lights and they all were working properly for the past 3 weeks until today. They gave me the new KM reading, there rear was like 42000km.

I am now getting the yellow warning brake light for rear brakes only and when I try to reset. It refuses to reset.... it just give me lines and no figures..

brake fluid is at its max. Both sensors look connected.

does anyone know the possible reasons

appreciated in advanced

have a lovely Friday

happened to me two times already, that the new sensor cable was scrapping against the turning wheel, and broke the continuos circuit

the correct routing of the new sensor cable to make sure it doesnt touch the turning parts is very important

thanks for the reply. i did push my hand through the wheel and noticed some play with the sensors wire. maybe this small piece was touching somewhere and broke..however the rest of the cable is in the correct position and clips.

Are these sensors from BMW?

I have an issue with the generic ones from spares shops.

But I can reset mine though. If you still having an issue rather buy the sensors from BMW if they are generic sensors.

Happened to me on both me E90 and F10. If the sensor has triggered, you're stuffed, and no resetting will do anything, you literally have to take it to a stealer. You can reset the mileage thing when you do the pads, but only if the light has not come on in the dash.
