X5 Motorplan

Hi gents

Asking on behalf of a friend. He's got 2014 X5 F/L still under motorplan. He took it for regular service this morning and they noticed a loose cable underneath which turned out to be that electronic handbrake. Apparently motorplan does not cover repair of this as they claim it's due to "accident". Now what kind of accident can cause damage to that kind of handbrake. Or does MP not cover this at all? Please advise as we both dumbstruck by this.

If the car has no accident history by insurance or BMW motorplan comments, then he must ask BMW to prove the accident damage however which dealership did he take it to?

Hi Ash, To our best knowledge there's no single comment. I agree that they will have to prove damage was due to accident. Dealership is Club Motors Fountains in PTA.

There will be visible damage under the vehicle where a rock or something hit it.

Ask them to put it up on a lift, and show you the damage, or take photo's. if they cant, no accident... fix it fsckers

This is one of the worst dealerships to deal with and highly incompetent, Rather go to Zambezi Auto

My sentiments exactly, interestingly we both never had issues with them before until now. Zambesi will do.
