X5 headlights

Anyone own a e70 x5, x drive and find the halogen headlights abit dim.

Is there anything can be done to increase the brightness?

The halogens on the E70 X5 have projectors in front of them. You should be able to install an aftermarkit HID/Xenon kit with relative ease if you want upgraded light output.

Just not sure if it would throw an error, but that can be sorted out easily.

Yeah, the E70 have projectors so no light scatter and blinding of other people which is a plus.

I had installed an HID Kit, worked great for about 2 years and lighting was awesome till the kit konked out.

Been trying to find a phillips HID kit now or any other decent unit for awhile now

Also, if you don't want to install the HID kit, try the Osram Nightbreaker Plus. They are probably the brightest halogens you can buy and a set should be about R200 or less from Midas. The advantage is that they are a direct replacement for existing bulbs, but HID will still be much brighter.
