X5 gearbox

Hi my transmission cooler is faulty and have water contamination in my transmission oil can I fix it with out removing the gearbox.

No , you need to remove the gearbox to see if there’s any damage in the actual gearbox , draining the transmission oil and putting new oil in will only end up with water again
