Good day guys
Have an issue with my x5. It does nit want to rev pass 3500rpm
High pressure pump siezed and snapped the chain and camshafts.
Overhauled the head, replaced cams
Replaced fuel pump.
Did various diagnostics
Changed sensors, boost control valves
Air mass sensor on intake etc

Please if any1 can assist
I would be very gratefull !!!
Tried alot of double checking stuff including timing etc, i used the tool to do the timing.
Double checked and thats still fine
Sent injectors in, recalibrated and all good
Fuel pressure is fine

My brother had a problem with his 2003 X5 3l diesel many years ago that the car would not rev past a certain level and it turned out the boost pipe came loose. Not saying that this is your problem but it might be a good idea to check the tightness of your boost pipes as well as the egr clamps as i have found on one of my old 2l diesel X3's that the egr clamp was not tight leading to all kinds of weird problems.

I had a similar issue with my 2.0d after I done my intake clean. Turns out I forgot to tighten the positive battery post in the engine bay. There's a nut that hold a few positive power lines onto the post I hand tightened it and forgot to tighten it down properly.

Check that all cables and plugs are securely tightened and plugged.

BTW no codes or engine lights. Engine boosted hard till like 3k rpm and just bogged down after.

Just to add to huis's post, the main battery earth connection is in the boot against the side of the wheel well where the spare resides iirc. Check that as well.
