X3 M-Sport Pack or 330d M sport pack

Hi fellow fanatics

Another follow up question,

330d m-sport pack vs new shape X3 m-sport pack.

Would I be downgrading if I swop the x3 for the 330d?

Both are 2011 models, low km.

I am single-ish, no kids, no real use for a big car except my bodyboard and towels.

Any advice or criticism will be appreciated

If the X3 is a 2.0d, then it would be an upgrade. I drove a X3 in both 2.0d and 3.0d - the 3.0d is a very refined engine compared to the 4-pot. Hence, the 330d would feel similar. As for interior, yes downgrade - new X3 is a nicer place to be. The rest - can't really compare as they are different vehicles.

You make sense, and I do love the car.

The only thing that bothers me - I am missing the bigger engine power.
Only having RWD instead of AWD.

So basically the fun factor is missing.

I assume I can fix it when I get myself a bike...

Thanks either way.

You know what they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.

If it was only for engine size I would swop, but I wonder if I would make a mistake to let go of the SUV sizeability...

if they both 330 then no diff in engines, but for you as a surfer...x3 would be more suited and you get the same performance, but if the x3 is 2,0 you would be dropping off a bit.

thats the thing, the x3 is a 2.0d...

and i do miss the power, hence thinking about the sedan with a 330d.

My main thing, I am just wondering if would miss that what i do have in the x3. thats whats its all about :)

oh, life is tough :D

Here's a spanner in the works. What about an older X5 3.0d. Those things depreciate pretty quickly and you should be able to pick up one close to the price of a X3 2.0d. Just an idea...
