X1 2.3d Xdrive

Hi Guys

So my SO is looking at replacing her car and we came across a BMW X1 2.3d Xdrive Auto, it is a 2011 model and has 127k kms on the clock.

How is this cars and what should we look out for? Would be first time BMW drivers as I am also looking for a car at this point in time, so we don't have any experience with BMW's.

Things I am generally scared off is the auto boxes, then if I read up right this engine has a twin turbo and how reliable are they. Last thing is what does the maintenance look like.

Well I can only say what the one cost that we saw, the one we looking at is going for R230k, what year is the 2.0d facelift?

According to my insurance the retail on it is R235k, just requested a quote so I can check the price on it.

The Facelift came out in 2012, but you can make out the facelift easily by looking at the gearstick, the older 6spd box has a straight stick, but the 8spd has the much curvier one, found in the F30s F10s etc and the mirrors are different on the facelift.

I saw last night when I browsed the internet that the gearstick looks like the F30's, I will look around some more before I buy this one though.
