Sup guys!!

Quick question, a friend of mine suggested this product....is anyone familiar with it?

BENEFITS
- Reduces fuel consumption, black smoke and other harmful emissions.
- Removes dirt deposits in injector pumps and injector nozzles.
- Prevents and eliminates the growth of micro-organisms "BUGS" in the fuel tank.
- Improves the lubricity of fuels.
- Cleans and protects from the fuel tank to the combustion chamber.
- Prolongs engine life.
- 1 application (330ml) is sufficient for 400 litres of diesel

Wurth make decent products as far as know.

I would rather use the liquimoly or nf range though.

But I'm sure it will be good. Give it a try if it's the only thing you can get.

Did you try this so you can tell us if you felt a difference?

Hi Stiaan, Used it once...didn't like it very much, heard a weird ticking sound coming from the engine bay after adding the liquid.
It affected my fuel consumption in a negative way..and really didn't feel any power difference.

So I don't have a positive review, however, my friend driving a Isuzu KB250 bakkie loves this product, he gets more mileage on a tank and he says the bakkie pulls harder after adding the liquid.

So im on the fence with this one, sorry man :fencelook:

I hear you, but what do you think happens, when those caked on deposits get "cleaned" or removed....

you will have some "side effects", it will pass, it will get burned up or something, therafter, you engine should run better than before...

well thats my theory anyway...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm asking because we stock that in our shop, and the Wurth rep swear by it, showed me reports and stuff from BMW Germany and Land Rover, obviously want to sell his product.

But I'm cautious of putting in anything in the tank

The question I want to ask is the following: Why on earth would you want to reduce the amounts of black smoke your car puts out?

Haha, true yes. But what irritate me since I did the DP and de-dpf on my car, is the little black spots on my car's bootlid and back bumper. Washed it just now, and 10km and its there again :(

After software your smoke shouldn't be that bad...

Lots of guys day their diesels smoke more after software, but some of us have seen a decrease of smoke with sw + dp vs dp alone...

in all likelyhood, you're not driving your car hard enough.

every now and then once the car is properly warm, say after 20km driving,
its good for the engine to take it on a stretch, even if you do 80km/hr in 2nd or 3rd gear but let the revs run at like 4000rpm for a good 10minutes, keep the needle steady. creates a nice vacuum in the head and clears everything up nicely, also burns some carbon ..soot etc...

diesels HATE stop start driving ive noticed...

Stiaan it is very strange that your bootlid gets soot on. My diffuser gets some soot on it. Possibly look at changing your tailpipe so it's not pushing the soot down on the tar which would make it push back up. Rather push it away and behind the car.

Do you have to reverse your car in order to drive?
Do your exhaust tips point down or straight?

i am guessing if the car is driven hard then one might not need to do the above?

While i dont keep the revs at 4000rpm( which is quite near to redline) surely driving in sport mode and having the car change at above 3000rpm will be sufficient?

Strange that that's happening as your pipe points down, yes?

Have a look at a different pipe then. Maybe look at getting the 330d twin pipes fitted, or even straight tips but make sure they're extended away from the body enough and not "tucked" away, flush to the body.

I employ you to reconsider once you drive behind my tractor....:fencelook:

Yes, my pipe do point down (the car's, not mine).

Maybe I must look at a straigh pipe some time.

Other problem that may cause the problem, wife is driving it 95% of the time in town, and I don't think she takes it past 2500rpm lol. I just drive it once a week or so, or when we're going out of town.
Up to the 320d badge the little black spots, and quite difficult to wash off

Theres ur problem. Sometimes driving like a granny is unavoidable...stopstart driving..traffic etc... Hence my "tuning" suggestion...swap cars for a.week sse if the problem persists...

You gotta redline a diesel now and then to reduce the black smoke. Boost i hard then you will see a massive black cloud. After a few time hardly anything then you can go back to cruise mode.
