WTF - Wing mirror - dropped the glass

What a blue Monday!
Driving to work this morning, cruising nicely down the highway, suddenly spot a flash to my right.
Not a flash, the glass of the driver’s side wind mirror, dropped out.
Gone in a flash
The glue holding the glass in place dried out after 10 years!

Oh well need to get a replacement!
Phone the local agent.
First quote R14000.00 - okay shock, tell the agent, not the whole just the glass
“Oh that is only - R5000.00” - some other words from me.
Lunch time decided to visit agent and get written quote, blood pressure pill and happy tabs are not working
Written Quote R1765.22 incl VAT – not fitment!
Only and 3 weeks on special order!

Same thing happened to my Z4 a few weeks ago, also driver's side.
PG cut a replacement mirror for me while I'm searching for the OEM replacement, I payed R100.
