I did tonight, it is okish. Same as Windows 7 but things are at weird places now, search and learn options here.

Installation went well and everything works, even my VMware

I have some mishaps with it, I've lost my right click with two finger tap on my touchpad. Settings with Synaptics are all set, just doesn't wanna work. Also its slowed down my rig alot. My pc gets frozen on the desktop moving the mouse, might advise on waiting just a little bit. Otherwise seems fine. Has quite a few features from the Mac system like the other gestures.

I have it running in VMware. installation took only 10 minutes, then setup and "waiting" took another 20 or so. Kinda ridiculous imho.

I am a Mac user so my views are biased, though I will say that it is better, right off the bat, than Windows 8. Visually it still feels a bit disjointed and lacks cohesion, but overall it's a big step up.

Like many of the reviewers have said "the last version of Windows ever may very well be the best one".

30% into the install now... Very curious to see what it's like... Thankfully they've allowed a feature to roll back to your previous. So if I don't like it. I'll head straight back to 7.

I think I'll wait for 10.1.3.456 or something to come out then... Until all bugs are sorted.

Seems only to be an issue with laptop's touchpads. :biglol:

My big rig (yes, cost me an arm and a leg) had no issue updating, but then again I love my SSD's and 32GB memory, maybe that helped

Ok guys, it has been a few days now with windows 10 and I cant complain, they should have never brought out windows 8 or even 8.1 as this is how it should have upgraded from 7.

There is going to be hidden issues with the windows 10, so here are the first one. If you guys knows torrent or peer to peer sharing, well windows 10 has it build into the build and on by default but the option can be turned off. Anyway, below is a link to the news and how to disable this function as it will eat through people limited internet as well as speed up things when turned off.

Mweb had the same thing except with a router (hardware) where you get their router and it will basically share your internet connection also on a peer to peer basis with your neighborhood, limiting your internet bandwidth but on a plus side has a stable streaming ability. Also same stupid explanation given don't worry it only uses the idle bandwidth of your adsl line and then pulls your line to almost a dead stop at certain times in the day. I have unlimited 10mb adsl line so know what I am referring to. These service providers new BS :sorry:

I've had an interesting time updating with it throwing me out during the installation and giving me an error code when it booted back to windows... Much research showed me that a recent malware infection basically played with registry and file permissions which wasn't letting the installer access what it needed to.

Fixed all that in the early hours of this morning and a fresh download of 10 is almost complete

Installed it day of launch. All went well, kept all my icons, programmes, settings, etc. which was very handy. That night shut the lid on my laptop as always.

Opened it the next morning and she just hung, wouldn't do anything. Only option I had was to reset the installation, thereby losing all my icons, programmes and settings. Was really peeved.

Since then, no issues, I have found a few small performance issues, but otherwise ok.

With Microsoft, you stay away for at least 6 months from release before endeavouring going over. Then ask yourself do you really need it, is everything running fine as is, so why update then.

Have had a few customers now that have jumped the gun and went with the update, and am now having to fix varying problems, which I was afraid of to start with.

BTW. Updates on Windows 10 cannot be switched off unless you really know what you are doing. (See some angry people when they see the data usage)

Well I'm upgraded now. One tiny file that was part of a Flight Sim addon that kept screwing me over. Deleted the file and had no further problems with upgrading. I like it so far. Boot times are longer though, but my PC is only ever off if Eskom decides it should go off.

One weird issue I have is that Task Manager shows CPU usage constantly at 100%. However there's no associated performance loss. Bizarre.

Weird.. Is it the system idle process that shows the 100% or is it another process?
