why do cup holders break so easily

I have had various people telling me that the cup holders easily brake

Cup holders in my e90 is excellent

The ones in the E90 are okay, probably for holding a cup or maybe even a normal size can, but useless at holding a 500ml coke!! :flyfun:

500000 % agreed.... wish the bloody thing can hold the 500ml cause i don't want a can..

But with that said also no issues with mine breaking or anything :=):

The cupholders in the e39 are over engineered but crap.

That is the worst design of a cupholder i have ever seen.
