I remember throughout my childhood, there was one distinct hooter sound no other car could compare with..that was the crisp raspy shrill of a BMW, no matter where I was I could distinguish a BMW hooter from any other.....even to the point when I got my first car a toyota I fitted bmw hooters:biglol:
I grew up to own a few BMs, few 36s, 46 and now 92 and my hooting tooting didn't disappoint..
I've been driving my gf's F30 and was disappointingly surprised to notice its has a totally different sound, to my astonishment even shouting out its not a BMW to her..:thumbdo:
I figured its just a once off and possibly just her car.
Yesterday I got witness a another F30 being irritated at the traffic light and sounding the hooter which was not the distinctive sound that was always BMW.
When did BMW change the hooters?
