A bit late to ask now, but, who in GP would you take your BMW to for body repair? Mine was in recently, was in a huge hurry, could not drive the car and needed it done quickly, took it in on the advice of my insurance company, the job was done well, but the rest of the service sucked big time.........

I used Dent doctor in Centurion last year when I bumped a dog. very good customer service, but had to go back like 2 times, and that sucked.

Alberante ARC......will NEVER use them again...on inspection of the car a day or two after I got it back the first time, above the rear wheel I found two places where the clearcoat had lifted, on one of the days that I stopped in to check on progress, phoning was a waste of time, getting hold of someone was a mission, I saw the car just as it was going into the spray booth, it had been sanded to just above the rear wheel, to fade the paint I was told, although the driver door was damaged in the incident, they had sanded the whole rear door and part of the rear wheel arch, I complained about this, and after creating a shitstorm with Alberante's PR lady, who BTW was very helpful, my car went back this week to have this problem rectified, other issues as well, like replacing the inner door panel that should have been done the first time around, but wasn't because the assessor thought it had not gotten damaged in the incident, my bonnet needed to be realigned, and the floormat clips that got thrown away during the valet, anyway, long story short, the 'powers that be' at ARC now say they never touched this panel, and are not going to fix the clearcoat........well, this is why I will never use ARC again, basically they are saying I am taking a chance here......when I got home the day I collected my car this week, I remembered that the rear door did not line up flush when closed, I forgot to mention this when I took it back, (my memory is crap due to medication I'm on and concussion suffered a while back) anyway, I checked the door hook, the part fitted to the rear section which holds the door closed, the bolts were finger tight, further proof that ARC did in fact work on this panel......I realigned the catch, tighten the hook, door now sits flush......so, anyone out there looking for a good repair agency, if you expect feedback on progress, people that answer their phones, feedback if the assessor refuses some aspect of damage, and most importantly, a GOOD repair job on your car, don't use ARC at Alberante.....

I've seen Leonard's work at Dent Doctor in Boksburg.
He looks like a perfectionist, my type of guy.

:nonono: still lot too learn, ALDO is nice guy, but, as far as level of work, greenstone Barry could be a better bet, and better priced,

Dentdoc Leonard, well....I will let u guys know in a Few weeks,

Problem, is that any big panel shop is going to give 2nd grade service. Especially when insurance companies are involved.

I think that is the idea, take it to the small guy, where pride in workmanship is still important....Alberante have so much work, a lot due to the recent hail storm, it seems they don't really give a shit.....
I have taken this up with my insurer as well, after all they recommended ARC, and they paid them.....

To each his own...
Dino, and his son Aldo know what they are doing for sure.

They have worked on some of the fanatics cars already, and on a few of my cars, and I can guarentee you that if there are any problems on your car after they have worked on it, they will have no problem to fix it.

Also, and Kobus328 can back me up here, they are honest, and when Kobus had to get 3 quotes for his Polo that had to be repaired, the other places all quoted R40k and higher, and Dino told him straight he can't see how, as his quote came in at R23k.

Artistic Auto Body, is a Family owned business, with an owner that still believes in doing Honest business, to the best of their ability, and a profesional outcome.

I will support them ANY TIME of the day!!

Im talking from experience. Aldo and his dad are great guys, no doubt, and not disputing the honesty either. I am saying u do the job once and do it right? thats all.

I have 2 cars done by both GAB and Artistic... and when we meet one day I will show you the difference in craftmanship, and NO there should be no reason why I should take the car back to repair something that is as clear as day, and no shop should even overlook something like this.(well a few things). I have asked Leonard to repair the said issues, and he can comment, if he likes, on what I am saying.

Yes, small jobs, then I will recommend Dino and Aldo no problem. Every business has it faults, and no one is perfect.

Maybe it was Dino off day for me....:inlove:
