My guess would be that you can be able to go to around 255-275.

I do speak under correction.

Gna try 275 19's today i have a feeling they gna rub bad

Yo bro, I got 255/30/19 on my F21 116 at the back no issues you may go slightly wider but the 255 sits good. Id like to know if the 275 19s fit

Remember that when you go up in rim size the profile on your tire has to come down to give more or less the same diameter. A profile higher has more flexibility and gives better traction. This is how you work out height and remember the percentage is the amount of rubber in the height. This formula allows you to physically look how much room you have available and adjust. Remember if you gain 20mm half at top and half at bottom so effectively only 10mm more clearance required.

18inch=457.2mm std tyre 245/35/18=245x35=85.75x2=171.5
=457.2mm+171.5=628.7mm
Going up to width of 255/35/18 =255x35=89.25
So on this clearance will have to be 89.25-85.75=3,5mm
Going up to width of 265/35/18 =265x35=92.75
So on this clearance will have to be 92.95-85.75=7.0mm

Two things to look out for.
Turn your steering to maximum inwards to check clearance when turning.
A tyre 10mm wider is only 5mm on a side if the same brand of tyre.
For this exercise load some of your buddies in the back to lower the height then you can see clearance better.
As said before be careful you select the same brand as i have found that some brands have a square profile as opposed to a curve inwards on the thread.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Your tyre sizes aren't the only factor here with regards to clearance. Offset of the wheel is the first test you need to pass.

Thats the combination specified on the pillar with tire pressures etc, so I'd want to match that.
