Wheel nut missing

Hey guys,

So I just noticed that my left rear wheel is missing one of the five wheel nuts. This is on my E90 325i 2006.

Just want to know where the best place in Cape Town would be to get a new one.

Thanks guys

Scrapyards should have some of these, but I would try Bruces or Clifton's M3, and just for fun, find out from the stealers.

Can be wrong, but if I remember correct ±R100 each from the stealers.

the unanswered question...where did the fifth stud go missing ?

if it was a tyre dealer, then they should be held responsible

If ever my wheels have been taken off at a wheel shop or a dealer, I always check the wheel studs (or nuts) to make sure that they are all properly tightened - learnt my lesson many years ago when a wheel shop's wheel guns did not tighten up my car's wheel nuts properly (not even finger tight)!

Na this is the first time I've noticed it. Probably went missing at the dealership where I bought it. Also seems I have a puncture in my right rear tyre

I know some guys who drive around with a torque wrench and 17mm socket in their boot at all times for such instances...:bravo:

Sorry but that's me. Its probably because I was taught that way and I work on aircraft and everything has a calibrated tool. Everything is important from tyre pressure to the torque of a simple nut on a wheel.

So When I get home and my wheels were off even from the dealer. I loosen nut for nut and re torque each nut an average of 120NM. Some nuts I have found were so tight I had to use a big Power bar. (Those impact tools are made for making stuff loose and not tight.)
