What's this service?

Hi Fanatics,

After I replaced my rear brake pads & reset the service indicator, I checked the service info on the car. And the the next service in 3000 km/Nov 2016 now, is the one next to 16 & 17 on the image:

Does this mean I will have to replace my starter/ignition come November or 3000 km from now? I'd really love to do a DIY, but just don't know what would be needed. Please assist with your insight on this.

Thanks.

Sash, thanks for the reply. Yes it's not red, or atleast that's how I see it. But if it is indeed an inspection, what do I need to be looking out for, anything specifice maybe? I've managed to the actual photos for clarity. Hopefully someone here will be able to shed some light. Also, there is a second on which I missed earlier but would like help with as well, photo also attached.

Second image wouldn't upload on the same post.

A full diagnostics will have to be done to assess if anything in particular needs attention or possible repair. It could be suspension related. It could just be because you hit a pothole. Very difficult to know. Or as someone mentioned it could just be a general suspension/engine check/inspection that is due soon.

The key (CAN) check does not show full diagnostics.

First image is for a general inspection (more for motorplan inspection purposes), second one is an emissions check. In both cases, in this country at least, close to nothing would be done at a dealer apart from checking outstanding errors and doing an engine recalibration (if customer reports things like high fuel consumption) and checking for obvious motorplan-voiding stuff. No real worries.

For peace of mind have the car scanned. But as other posters have said it could be nothing and just a warning to be cleared.

Thanks Twinz, I hope it's not something major. Does your answer also tie in with the second image?

Thanks Major. Other than doing a full diagnostics as a precaution, I supposed just resetting these would be sufficient then?
