what is a precharge pump

Great news for the weekend! After running diagnostics my "pre-charge pump faulty" and "cam sensor inlet" faulty
Is the precharge pump the ABS unit? also can the cam sensor affect my consumption(car goes fine no misfires etc) Any ideas on prices for these new/2nd hand?

Hello what model car do you have?No the precharge pump is normally an secondary airpump.Cam sensor reading can affect your consumption.

Hi CB, my car is '03 525i, I since found what the precharge pump does and according to various posts, problem could still be precharge pump or abs module....
