Well you need to compare apples to apples really, you have to take a PC with similar hardware before you can really compare.
Not that I am that big a fan of consoles or gaming for that matter nowadays but I can tell you the PS3 does a hell of a lot with just 256MB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM and GPU with a clock of just 550MHz.
You have a point with the lack of hardware in the ps3, it is really good for what it has to use. The only reason i sold the xbox and bought the PS3 is it serves as a Media centre better than the xbox IE: bluRay and all that jazz.
But my loyalties still stay with ATI and Intel!
AMD dropped the ATI brand name.

I'm a die hard AMD CPU supporter. Mostly because I can afford the latest tech from AMD where the latest tech from intel is always priced at a premium. But PC hardware is a lot like cars, you get what works best for you. :thumb:
