What DIY?

Hi there guys

What DIY stuff can I do to my E36 325i to keep the engine running optimal, or just to maintain it? It has a lot of kms on and the previous owner was a old man...

What advise could you guys give me?

Pretty much oil.

Keep your filters clean.

Flush the radior, make sure you have fresh fluids for powersteering,brakes, diff, gearbox, washer. check for leaks. replace brittle pipes


Perhaps a sillicone spray on the plastic bits, make sure all 4 are firing properly, and she will run.

My dads partner just sold his E36 with 630,000km on it, and no thats not a typo...

Car was in good nick though, Leon has been nursing it for many years, I remember I was a youngster in school when Leon was a junior fireman and he used to give me a lift home, and im turning 29 next week, so that gives you some idea.
