What brand of Diesel car would be a good buy beside BMW

This is a question that was asked to me, What brand of a Diesel car would i buy besides the BMW i currently own?

If i had no choice and could not buy a BMW... i would go for the Audi A5 3.0TDi. Drove one the other day and was very impressed. But alas, its still not a BMW. :rollsmile:
