Hey howzit going. Well firstly I'm a 3D Animator, drive a 2004 BMW E46 318i Exclusive Pack, Titan Silver and got 135000Kms on her at the mo. Since last year April I've had to replace the expansion tank; front control arm bushes and replaced the Disa valve. Other than those little repairs, an awesome car and a great cruiser on the open road, especially from Calendon to Bredarsdorp - my favourite stretch of road :) I've been a fan of Beemers for a long time. Had to get rid of my 1991 E30 318i last year April :bawling: She hit 350 000kms and really started to pack up. So she had to go. That was a great car, awesome fuel consumption - got 850k's on a tank; nice tail action at times to keep you on your toes!

Other little problems with the car is a knock in the back when shifting into first gear (clunking noise); left rear door leaks and i gotta get new brake discs soon! Other than that its ama-zing. Audio: Mp3 playback - awesome!

Want I want to do: - Mtech II kit (need prices)
- 18''s
- Little boot lid detail like your pic above
- Maybe clear lense all round
- Dark kidney grille

Thats it really.

Cool beans. What do you guys have after your motorplans done. I got this MBI Octane mechanical plan which helped me out when the Disa valve packed up - would of smacked me for R6500 if I didn't get it?

Just to add, got my car back this morning from the shop - was leaking oil from the tappet cover gasket - gasket set and labour cost R1500.

Also, what would cause the car to rev randomly, only to about 2000rpm, when idling in traffic? She had a system flash in November when the Disa value got replaced.

My E30 used to do that... until the head gasket blew. Once I had it fixed there were no more random revs.

As your car is much newer, I can't be sure. I would however have it looked at just for peace of mind. Having any car repaired after head gasket failure is costly.

Head gasket! Eish, thats a nasty one buddy. I'll check it out with the guys back at the shop, hopefully something insignificant *knock on wood!. My ex-E30 would rev itself wildly while driving, got a bit dangerous up Hospital Bend one morning! Idle actuator was pretty much spent. Got a 2nd hand one and then stuff just started going down hill from there, which eventually then I had to let her go.

That was just my experience. So don't take it to heart
