bmwfanaticscoza , thanks for the welcome. I was steered here by Gizmo, whom I called looking for a fuel pump. I drive a 1989 E32 750il that I rescued from being scrapped. I have had to repair many small problems to get the car to where it is today, the biggest being the diff, which Gizmo sourced for me and was like a new unit. That a 20 year old car can drive as this one does just amazes me. It handles well and goes like a rocket and I use any excuse I can to drive it, despite having several other far more fuel efficient vehicles at my disposal.
I am a qualified aviation technician (SAA) and "A" grade motor mechanic and have been repairing cars, trucks and all sorts of other equipment since the early sixties.
