Mmm I once read an article explaining why a Beemer is the BMW bike and a Bimmer is a BMW car. Think I must find that and put it up for discussion.

Traditional Definition:

beemer
Name for a motorcycle by the manufacturer BMW.
Often confused with bimmer, what is the name for cars by the same manufacturer.

But I think over time the lines got blurred and 'Beemer' these days can refer to cars and motorcycles made by BMW
