I do not have an obd tool to check the codes. Does anyone know what this sign could mean?

You can check the code on the dash and then Google what it is. Forgot how to access the codes. I think scroll to the check option then hold down the bc button until it shows.

That's the service due caution. Don't have my E90 anymore but if I remember correctly if you start the car it should tell you that the service is due with that caution shown. You can check what service is due by scrolling through your OBC menu with the up down scroll selector on your indicator stalk. Scroll through all the items until you get to "service info" then press the BC button on the end of the indicator stalk. Then scroll through the service intervals with the same scroll selector used earlier. Will tell you how many KMs or time till front brakes, rear brakes, oil service, brake fluid etc are left. Should tell you what you need to know. Hope this helps dude.!

It's not only that. I have it come on when my xenons are on as they aren't coded yet. And the code description is multiple light modules out.

Hi Buddy

Did this light come on when you were driving or when you started the car?

This light usually means that a service is due and you can check what service is due via the OBD like Showtime100 said.

Howsit,

The light came on while I was driving. I was about 2 km away from my house when the light came on.

I have not used the car since then cause I did not want to ruin anything further if it turns out to be a serious issue. I will look at the codes as advised and give feedback.

If the car did not go into limp mode and cut the engine power, then i dont think its anything serious.

Use the link DieselFan provided.

Thanks for the advice guys. The code it showed is CC-ID 71. According to searches on the web it is related to brake pads specifically the brake pad wear indicator.

I will take it in to be looked at.

Thanks again.
