This looks great! I loved the IL2 games back in the day. I want to give this a go when I can.

It's free to play and it's brilliant. Just go to their site, sign up, download the launcher, install launcher, wait for download to finish, and play. Granted it's about a 7gb download.

Right now the vehicles part is in closed beta, but soon we will also have tanks and I think ships all in the same battles.

I started playing yesterday afternoon and I'm about 1/2 way in research to my Spitfire MK1.

This is a fun online game that has some great action elements and kickass effects. have had many fun dogfights flying it. Flight dynamics are a little exaggerated, but it's an online flying deathmatch, so who cares. It's still damn good fun.

I also fly IL2 Sturmovik Battle for Stalingrad -- It's not as easy to fly and no as arcady as WarThunder, but once you get the hang of it, it really is amazing.

Either game is a blast. WarThunder is more relaxed and action packed. IL2 Battle of Stalingrad requires more patience and piloting skill.
