Hey guys, so ive got my 320D and looking to get an X3.

1. I have found one with 123000km - anything i need to check
2. I like a manual - any problems with these
3. What should i look for on the test drive with these?

Thanks in advance...

P.S has anybody here sold a space grey one recently in the East Rand?

My dad has a 2.0d but automatic, bought recently, was told to check if it starts up quick without hesitation and was told to check the Transfer cases on those

i also have heard not so good things about the x3's transfer cases.. might be worth investigating or maybe someone with solid info will post..

I got mine for about a month now. I have read forums and threads about the vehicles. Most common problems seem to be transfer box. This is more of a negligence issue than wear and tear. Incorrect wheel sizes, tyre sizes and incorrect tyre pressures can cause premature wear on the transfer box.

Blocked sunroof drains also seem to be an issue but is a quick diy fix I've read.

I also look at the overall condition of the vehicle and see if all panels are straight. Does the wear on the gear leaver and sterling wheel match the milage etc. Also check the motorplan and service history. Get the vin number and ask bmw to check the history. U can filter through it and get a feel of how previous owners looked after the vehicle.

The 320d and x3 2.0d engine are the same so u should be familiar with the engine.

That's my little info I have. Hope it helps
