VW TFSI Carbon Clean by Carbon Doctor

I used carb cleaner on mine and let it soak overnight. The next morning it was just a sludge that took me a while to clean, but when I did,it wasn't too bad a job (not as good as yours!). I reassembled everything and took the car out,the difference in power was absolutely amazing. The only issue I have been told is that the carbon builds up quite quickly again,so it's s continual cycle of preventative maintenance to keep the carbon off. I know that's more specific to Audi, not sure about BMW though.

If the valves are not cleaned 100% and patches of carbon or even specs are left behind they become traps and it accelerates the build up second time round. On a naturally aspirated car I would do it as often as I could afford cause it really saps the power. RS4's react like just got heavily modified after the clean. Lucky now with the M your carbon woes are over.

I know! But it was actually quite a lot of fun getting stuck in,and I was impressed with the results of the clean. One of my RS4 mates is coming to you soon (he has the all dreaded EPC light burning on his dash...) to get his done, and I KNOW he is down on power badly on his car because of it. The Audi guys speak very highly of you, which is good for them, cos that RS4 engine does deserve better than to get gunked up and fried.
I cleaned the valves two or three times while I was doing it,I was so stressed about carbon chunks getting down into the cylinders.
