VORSTEINER GTR CARBON HOOD

Hi guys,

As the title says, I have just installed a Vorsteiner Carbon Fibre GTR hood on my car. I removed the old GTR Hood, which was a cheap Fibre glass reinforced plastic version / copy of the Vorsteiner hood.

I always wanted a Vorsteiner GTR hood, but finding one was next to impossible due to them being discontinued, as well as the cost being $2000 plus shipping and import tax.

Needless to say, I was fortunate to find one last year. It has been sitting in storage for a few months and yesterday I finally got time to install the hood.

Pics below, video of the install to follow soon.

Normally not for me, but this works really well with the colour of your car. Quite subtle.
Cheers Spanky,

I too wasn't so sure about full exposed Carbon, and was going to paint the hood the same colour as the car like my previous GTR Hood, but figured I would give it a try none the less... Seems the overall public consensus is to keep it as exposed Carbon.

Looking to do a PPF to ensure no rock chips damage the clear coating.

OMG that looks fantastic

Leave it carbon. On a dark colour it's looks perfectly fine. Refurb the splitters, ppf both.

Looks boss

Cheers Firi. It has been almost a week and the exposed carbon look has grown on me. I have been getting a lot compliments from passers by saying they love the car etc.

So for now, the hood remains carbon fibre.

Appreciate all the comments guys. Thank you all.
