VIN Help E30

[The Real Stig]

Hi Guy's,

Was hoping someone can assist me in decoding the VIN on my E30. All the reg documents and the VIN in the window just shows 32380082.
I have looked all over and apparently it means it was imported at some stage and BMW can give you the full VIN but I have had no luck yet.
Please let me know if anyone knows.

It should have a plate at the front , and the body number stamped on one of the shock towers , I dont know how reliable it is though , BMW Classic thinks my E30 is a 2 door coup among other things LOL
