Howzit guys,

Maybe someone can help me. Im not very clued up on the Galaxy 10.1 tab. Ive used AirPlayit to stream movies from my PC to my iPad but it seems the Galaxy tab does not support this program.

Ive done some research and checked VLC as a server streaming but could't get it to work.

Ive read about Upnplay but im not sure how it works as it uses third party players to stream.

Im using a router but as im streaming from a laptop sometimes could one use the wifii directly?

Thanks for the help

This is a copy paste from another site, not my own experience.

Android: ES File Explorer. Easiest way to steam movies on my android that reside on my PC, without having to copy them to my android. I just browse to my Windows PC's network share, open the video, and then it asks me what player to play it in. Also, transferring files to and from my android has never been so easy, whether it is pushing or pulling. To pull files from my PC to my Android, ES can browse to the SMB network path (the standard way Windows PCs browse each others files). To push files to the Android from my PC, a desktop shortcut starts ES's FTP server. Then on my PC, I just enter the FTP address into Windows Explorer, and I can send files to it the same way I transfer files to any other PC on my network.

ES File Explorer can also gain root access for rooted phones, browse zip archives (they call it ES Zip Explorer but it appears to be included with File Explorer and its the same program), search for files, cook dinner, do the laundry, it slices it dices it even does the dishes! Well it seems like it does anyway.
