Hi Guys

Please can someone assist me with removal of the valvetronic servo motor. I came across couple forums that show the removal. But unfortunately, these are all european versions of the E90 setup.

What tool/tools are required and what steps need to be followd. I managed to locate the motor:praise:so just need help the south african way:thumbs:

Its pretty easy bud.

No special tools needed other then a good torx set.

However, once you have replaced the motor, the motor needs to be calibrated using DIS or ISIS or something of that nature.

This will teach the motor what the upper and lower limits are.

You could change the motor yourself, and then take it to somebody to calibrate the VVT.

Or just book it in with somebody that has the right tools.

Its pretty simple.

Tappet cover off, 4 screws on motor. put it in. Calibrate, and bob is your grandma..
