Used 320d 2009 or 330d 2006?

Wife had 320d and i have 330d, on the freeway, i get better fuel consumption on my 330d. Long distance 330d cape to durb or jhb, i get 1050km with ease before top up,cpu shows another 100km but i top up earlier. 320d is auto and i get 900km oong distance. Some folks have turbo concerns,330d has no concern on turbo.some 320d have been known to be a problem,refer to stats on forum. I personaly would go 330d,its an enjoyable car with no additions for performance.

Thanks for all the feedback, the other choice is auto vs manual. I prefer manual but I am wondering if auto would be better for the jhb pta commute.
Reliability would make me choose an older 330d above a newer 320d. I still wonder about the timing chain and sprocket on the N47...

I got 1100km from my tank easy when going down to durban and back.
Doing 130km/h avg on the highway.
I always hated Auto boxes, but in the 320d it is a charm!
Go drive the cars and then decide. Just talking about it wont make up your mind.

Smaller engines don't always mean better consumption.
Only thing I'd be afraid of is the '06 turbo dying. So maybe get one of those maintenance plans with your bank? Engine, gearbox & turbo is vital.
