Car has been to club motors, so I can promise you motorplan is suspended.

It is possible for non approved shops to do the repair, provided that a motorplan re-instatement is done.

So yes I can help.

I was almost going to phone to make you aware of this thread....no need now...LZ to the rescue :thumbs:

Yeah Tman, only 2 weeks bru....DAMN SAD!!:cry:

Charlton - you got mail and whatsapp dude, i think comments wont be able to be avoided, but if i send my car to LZ, and only quality check comment is on, its better than getting full parts ordered on VIN? unless they still do?

Gentleman,

for those of you who do not know, my vehicle got kissed by a biker exactly 1 week ago...a smooch that left a R151 000 taste in my mouth...

Now the assessor went our and cut the quote to R125 000, BUT I now need to ensure this car goes to a reputable and good panelbeater for fixing. I need to take it to somewhere BMW Approved (or at least where the car can get fixed and still maintain m/plan) and if i dont get comments even better(Hope in HELL in know but i can try, right?)

I would only rest at night if the car gets fixed where i know people have had experiences and are happy with the work thereafter, unfortuantely car cannot be written of due to the value of damage being quite a sum below book value...SO...please...tell me where is the best. The car is currently at BMW Club Motors Randburg, was taken there after the accident as the closest BMW dealership to tow the car too.

Gentlemen, let me know your choices......:thumbs::thumbs:

Sorry to hear about your mishap Ash. RE: Club Motors Randburg ARC, I have had bad experience with them with just bumper-scratch repairs. Eventually without a vehicle for 2 weeks and job still unsatisfactory. (A search on www.hellopeter.com will give you an idea of similar experiences.). Best of luck!

unfortunately, the vehicle will have comments, for if it didn't get, it'll make pointless the checking of comments before purchasing used.

hey bud, that quote is hectic, but at least there is no structural damage. As I said, they probably already ordered on the vin, that said, damage is not that bad to completely mess up a future trade or resale badly. So don't stress it too much, its happened, best thing is you and your family is safe. Hope your baby is home soon, and you can enjoy it again.

on my 330d you could see where the bonnet and fender panel had been removed, and bumper resprayed, nothing was picked up when vin number was checked, dealer principal would not sell the car to me untill he got the truth about what happened.

original owner sent it to zambesia for hail damage and got front bumper resprayed out of his own pockets, funny thing is there are no comments on about it,but did get a letter from previous owner stating what was done.

dealer principal happy and so am i

so seems like not all damage to bmw is recorded

If repairs was done at a reputable shop not BMW owned, and no parts ordered on the vin, there wont be any comments.

and that is what i wanted to happen wtih my car:argh::argh::yuck:

If they have authorization, and parts have been ordered, then just let them fix it.

Believe me that you are going to have a tough time to remove a car that they have already started working on.

With a repair bill that high Im surprised your insurance company didn't write the car off, what is book value on her?
