I am guessing it looks like this for the Ford guys:

they look like little boxes that are strapped to the inside of the rim.

btw, the M3 does not have this. it tyre pressure system uses the DCS's wheel speed sensors.

Thanks,
I was just wondering,
When I changed my tyres I didnt notice anything that looked like a sensor.

How do I have them reset, the car says they are always flat!
I've tried the button inside the car 100 times.

Don't worry, the tyres are only flat on the bottom side...

Just kidding. I don't know how the OEM BMW sensors look. The ones I pictured are universal retrofits from Autostyle.

you need to pump them to the correct pressure.

start the car.

hold the TPS button until the yellow light comes on. Then drive and after about 10 seconds it will go out. The system should now be calibrated for your current pressures

There is no sensor as such for tyre pressures. The ABS/DSC system notices that one wheel is going faster than the others because a deflated wheel has a smaller diameter than normal. The system Kabal describes works for me. Although I only did it to see if it worked. I have never had the flat tyre warning come on and it should only come on if one wheel is going at a different speed to the opposite side (going flat or under inflated). I suppose if you have a new tyre on one side and old on teh other it might pick up the difference in remaining tread?

The sensors have said the wheel/wheels are flat since I put the 19" mags on.
All the tyres are at 2.4bar, exactly the same as the originals.

I'm maybe going to try different pressures each day and see how it goes.

bryden, its not the 19's that setting the sensors off.
Make sure that you are using the correct size tyres, if the profiles are the wrong size, they will trigger the tpm!

Thanks 333wez,

That makes sense because the new profiles are 35 in front and 30 at rear.
If I park on grass it looks like my car is sinking!

Guess I'll just have to live with it... Or put some tape over the light :hammerhead:

I think the correct size should be F 235/35/19, R 265/30/19.
check what size OEM tyres BMW specify for the 19's.
