I know this tyre thing has been hammered before.
But just for fun, figure it would be cool to see the results.
No need to discuss other tyres, these 3 options are the only ones on the table, that's it.

The Michelin PSS is the best, came out No.1 in all tests that I've came across.

Not a major step forward from the PS2 but then again that was one hell of a tyre. I wouldn't go anything else.

I have Michelin PSS on my M3 now. Replacing my Hankooks, which were good, but I am Impressed thus far, even though I haven't driven much in them as my suspension is too low and the car rubs against the tyres if I accelerate hard or take a corner.

I have coilover suspension so I figured I'd just lift the car up a few mm's. Then I will give my impressions.

are you only targeting these 3 specific brands only, what about all the other manufacturers ?

Pirelli/Yokohama/Falken etc

Not brands, tyre models specifically.
These are the top 3 listed under premium performance tyres on www.tyrereviews.co.uk
Both Falken and Yokohama are listed as mid range brands on that web site, and a few Pirelli's I've tried myself and can agree with the results on that same site.

These 3 are the only ones that score over 90% apart from a couple I don't recognise, being Nokian & Vredestein, assuming these are not available in SA.

Also being through a few sets of the F1's I strongly agree with the 90% rating so was just curious if anyone else can confirm the 2 other tyres that beat it.

Seems the Michelin Super Sport may be something to try.

Haven't used Michelins before but I am very very happy with my Goodyear F1's,
Would almost certainly replace them with another set.

37 people on that site seem to have given them quite good reviews? with one or two giving it very low points...

not sure what tire size you looking at but in the one im looking at the RE002 is very well priced for what it is :)

I think Infra007 has been running those on his track car so maybe ask him for some input on them

Yup good reviews, just the average score is below 90%.
Was looking at the really good tyres.

TWT doesn't have the Michelin PSS in 225/45/17 .. :(
