Turbo kaput

Hi Guys, the turbo on my 2002 320D gave in, can you recommend someone or somewhere in the northern suburbs of Cape Town where I can be assisted with this problem?

What I know about those things can be considered dangerous, I'll prefer to have somebody who knows what he's doing sort it out rather.

All good Leonard. I would advise that you read up a bit on the topic and related issues as a lot of places see a guy coming a mile away with a E46 turbo and always try to work them over simply cause its a BMW.

A normal popped turbo change should not cost you more than R12k at a shop. This would include a NEW Garret turbo and labour, cleaning of the intercooler and maybe removing the swirl flaps and cat too while they are busy. Add R900 for a new generation crank breather too.
