Tuning the M engine and Dyno cheats

MY STORY DID NOT CHANGE. GO LOOK AT WHAT I SAID. I SAID I CAN TAKE AN S54 AND BY TUNING IT GAIN OVER 20 WHEEL HP. THAT'S WHAT I SAID. I DIDN'T QUALIFY THAT CLAIM BY SAYING IT HAD TO OR DIDNT HAVE TO HAVE CATTS. YOU BROUGHT THAT IN. MY ORIGINAL CLAIM SAID NOTHING ABOUT CATTS.

WE TOOK ARY'S CAR AND GAINED 24HP ON THE WHEELS. THESE ARE UNDISPUTED FACTS THAT YOU CANNOT CHANGE. YOU AND I CAN ARGUE ABOUT CATTS, BUT HIS GAIN BY CHANGING S/W REMAINS AT 24HP.

i agree and disagree!!! In the U.K or US the cars are mapped for their fuels and air pressures,temps etc..
We get the cars here on their settings..

I am surprised that BMW SA don't remap the cars for 95ron fuel...We have had M3 owners here(UK) that have experienced running problems by putting in 95(to save a few £) because the ECU's are tuned for 98...therefore having the cars remapped for SA fuel will undoubtedly see gains for the mere fact that the engines will run better.....If you get Euro settings then it would make sense for any M3 out there to be remapped

LOL @ Oscar, OMG Dude, you really are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I have been around M3's for plenty years now and have owned my E46 for 4 years, I gained 27HP on the wheels with Xcede and I WAS THERE WHEN WE DID IT. No buggering around with dyno's, Ecu tables, Octane boosters etc.

I suppose now you are going to tell me its impossible to gain 27hp on an M3 with software only ? Well Xcede did it and it is backed up by performance on the road.

Clearly there are some personal issues that has become the focus of this thread. For this reason I'm locking the thread. BMWFanatics is not here for members to battle out their personal issues on public forums. It's like arguing in a busy street. I know that some might find this entertaining, but many people don't.

You can PM me if you have any issues with this thread being locked, but I think the reasons are clear.

I'm asking everyone involved to please just leave it be.

Dude you have had it in for Sherwin/Xcede for as long as i can remember. I am not sure why though, do you have an affiliation to another tuning company that can only get 1kw gain on M3's therefore you call Xcede's claims BS, or are you just grumpy about something.

Either way, its getting old. You dont like Xcede, stay out of their posts.
