Trailer plug

iam blessed with a European trailer plug ,on my e46 so would it be best to get an adaptor from BMW R430 or should i just replace the whole plug? If so would it be a DIY job?

Replace the plug. Just test which wires is which lights and put a standard plug on the car. The plug is about R50 from the spares shop and the diagrams are on the net. I have a diagram that I got of the net 2 weeks ago to fix my wiring on the 535, what a mess! :cursin: Now mine is SA standard and any trailer works on it. DIY is about 30 to 60 minutes and your done. Let me know if you want the diagram and assistance.

i think iam leaning to replace the plug , dont want to end up loosing the adaptor
